1100-Litre Hot-Dip Galvanized Waste Container
1. SCOPE
This specification covers the design, material, manufacturing, and surface treatment requirements for a 1100-litre hot-dip galvanized steel waste container intended for municipal and commercial waste collection operations.

4. BODY
- Material: S235 (ST 37 equivalent) structural steel, 2.0 mm single-piece sheet
- Body is cold-formed and press-shaped with integrated stiffening ribs to increase structural rigidity
- Perimeter edges are folded outward by 15 mm, wrapping around the body exterior to reinforce the top rim
- Base corners are rounded (radiused) to prevent stress concentration
- All seams are fully MIG/MAG welded (gas-shielded, slag-free); the body is watertight
- Top-rim profiles are self-folded; welding is applied only at corner joints
5. LID
- Material: S235 (ST 37 equivalent) structural steel, 1.2 mm single-piece sheet
- Press-formed (deep-drawn) for structural integrity and uniform appearance
- Mounted with 2 heavy-duty hinges; lid opens fully to the rear (180°)
- Lid provides a complete, flush seal over the container opening
6. LIFTING ARMS
- Dimensions: 450 × 100 mm
- Material: 4 mm structural steel plate, reinforced with Ø16 mm transmission steel bar
- Fully welded to the body
- Compatible with standard EN 840-3 lifting mechanisms used on rear-loading and side-loading collection vehicles
7. WHEELS & CASTORS

- Dimensions: 160 × 45 mm
- Rotation: 360° swivel
- Bracket: 4 mm steel, V-bent (inner fold) for reinforcement

8. SURFACE TREATMENT – HOT-DIP GALVANIZING
- Process: Complete hot-dip galvanizing of the fully assembled container
- Standard: TS EN ISO 1461
- Minimum coating thickness: ≥ 45 µm (average); ≥ 35 µm (local minimum)
- All interior and exterior surfaces, including welds, seams, and structural joints, are galvanized
- No post-galvanizing paint is applied unless specifically requested
9. MARKINGS (OPTIONAL / CUSTOMER-SPECIFIC)
The following markings can be applied by embossing, stencilling, or adhesive label upon customer request:
- Municipality / company name or logo
- "Keep your environment clean" pictogram
- "Do not park in front" symbol
- Universal waste/litter pictogram
Marking method and content to be confirmed at order stage.
10. QUALITY & TESTING
- Each container is manufactured in accordance with TS EN 840-3
- Production is carried out per approved technical drawings
- Dimensional checks and weld inspection are performed prior to galvanizing
- Galvanizing coat thickness is verified per EN ISO 1461 sampling protocol

- All technical drawings are available upon request.
- Custom volume markings, colours (powder coat over galvanize), or logo embossing can be accommodated.
- Containers can be supplied flat-packed (knocked-down) or fully assembled depending on logistics requirements.
